There hasn't ever been a drop in quality in a series as dramatic as the last season of House of Cards. Jumping the shark doesn't even come close. When Kevin Spacey was suddenly me-too-ed, the producers reshot parts of the season to cut him out completely, depriving us of a proper sendoff for this groundbreaking series (one that put Netflix on the map). Imdb users rated season six episodes at less than 4 stars! Ouch! The writing was always over-the-top, but somehow Spacey made it work. Without him, you had to suspend disbelief too many times and all the plot reversals came crashing down like a... well, you know!
